About Tengu Development
October 28, 2008
We’re a small team of indie developers making the games and application we like and want to play. Our goal is to better ourselves, put some unique ideas into the industry, and have a little fun on the way. We are open to the possibility of going commercial some day. We are also content doing this for free, as a hobby.
Our focus right now is working on games for the PC, with the possibility of homebrew ports to traditional gaming platforms. We’ll go for Open Source whenever possible.
We’re currently a team of two, but we would love to expand. We’re both in this because it’s our passion, as well as bolstering our portfolios and increasing our skills. If we are successful enough and get a good amount of free titles out, we want to go official, but only time can tell.
The Members
Chris Crawford (Wiz, Musashi)
Chris is the person who comes up with the most awesome ideas for games and pays the bills for the website. But more importantly, he’s an awesome pixel artist who can make great, commercial quality graphics. He currently works as a graphics man for a cellphone game company called Cellufun and has done countless of freelancing jobs before this in graphical design, game art and web design. Before Tengudev he’s been involved in one of the most awesome and silly Final Fantasy in existence, Kefka’s Revenge, and done things on it like make graphics, the story line and project coordination.

Vincent Beers (DaVince)
DaVince is the coder, planner and musician of the team. He does most of the programming work for any project Tengu Dev can think of, as well as planning, documenting and thinking of ideas for them so that the end result may be as good as possible. The Tengu website and blog are under his supervision. Next to this he makes the sound track for all games. Before Tengu Dev, DaVince has worked on many small or abandoned games and applications in several different game engines (like Multimedia Fusion and Sphere) and has enjoyed 2 years of IT to gain useful project management and software engineering skills.
